He took a leave of absence to teach engineering and computer science at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He rejoined the company in 1971
Gordon is a 1957 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering.
He is responsible for all hardware and software engineering development for the company."
