Description

The object is described by donor as:
Before IC packages were developed for memory circuits in the 1960s,
virtually all memory used in computers consisted of magnetic cores
(miniature-ferrite "donuts") strung on an XY web as shown in item #2. One
of the primary producers of these passive memory systems was
FerroxCube Corporation of upstate New York. This was the predecessor of
the integrated circuit memory chip.
