Description

From abstract: " Justin Rattner, Intel Corporation's Chief Technology Officer takes a fascinating look at how technology will bring man and machines much closer together. He predicts big changes are ahead in social interactions, robotics and improvements in computer's ability to sense the real world. Rattner believes that we may be approaching an inflection point where the rate of technology advancements is accelerating at an exponential rate, and as a result, machines could overtake humans in their ability to reason, in the not so distant future.

Kate Greene, Information Technology Editor at the MIT Technology Review will join Justin Rattner to discuss the many important emerging innovations in semiconductor and other computing technologies that will make human and machine interaction more robust, perhaps sooner than any of us expect!

Their interesting and revealing SoundByte discussion, “Into the Future: Man and Machines” will be held 12:00-1:00 pm on Thursday June 25th as part of the CHM’s 2009 'Salute to the Semiconductor'."
