In this interview, Richard Tedlow discusses his books The Giants of Enterprise, and Andy Grove: The Life and Times of an American. While talking over his work, Tedlow examines the history of Silicon Valley and some of its key personalities and companies. Significant points include IBM’s 360, the Digital Equipment Corporation, Intel, Andy Grove, Robert Noyce and other leading figures, the financial world of Silicon Valley and Silicon Valley’s unique role in business’ past and present. Tedlow briefly touches on his personal life at the beginning of the oral history.
