Description

This oral history summarizes semiconductor pioneer Stanley (Stan) T. Meyers' many contributions to the industry's development, particularly in the area of silicon wafer manufacturing and as the leader of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI). Stan held engineering and executive positions at Monsanto and then was recruited to be the President and CEO of Siltec. He has been a very large influence on the development of a truly global SEMI organization and the associated industries.

In this oral history, Stan also talks at some length about the contributions of many of his fellow pioneers in the semiconductor equipment and materials industry and his relationship with the executives of Mitsubishi Materials when they were investors in Siltec and he was its president and CEO.
