The model 3900 is a desktop calculator with a 4" x 2.5" cathode ray tube display. This is a production version of the first calculator designed and built by General Microelectronics Inc. (GMe) using MOS technology ICs for sale by Victor Comptometer Corporation. The front panel nameplate indicates that this is one of a shipment of machines returned by Victor after the acquisition of GMe by Philco Ford and rebranded for resale by the latter company. The engineering prototype of this model is in the CHM collection under catalog number 102682056.
