The editors of Electronics intended these casebooks as collections of recently published basic how-to articles from the technical article section of Electronics, combined with brief circuit ideas from the Designer's Casebook section, as an up-to-datetronics design textbook and idea book for electronics engineers in a fast changing field. Electronics Circuit Designer's Casebook, ca. 1970, provides articles on measurement, power supplies, filters, comparators and detectors, control, generation, amplifiers and logic. Electronics Designer's Casebook, undated, provides articles on amplifiers, communications, signal sources, signal conversion, measurement, filters, control, displays, power supplies, logic, and switching. Electronics Designer's Casebook Number 3 includes articles from Electronics issues from February 16, 1978 through January 4, 1979 and items from Engineer's Notebook of particular interest to the circuit designer: audio and analog, control, design, filters, logic, power supplies, signal conversion and signal sources.
