Published as part of a continuing program of research to inform computer scientists about Soviet publications, activities and new developemnts in computing technology and cybernetics. Issued approximately once a month and prepared by the staff of the Cybernetics Data -Research Project within the Computer Sciences Department. Volume numbering began with Vol. 3, January 1969. Title changed to "Soviet Cybernetics Review" with Vol. 3, No. 6, in June 1969. In 1971, issues were renumbered to Vol. 1 and were published bimonthly. Last issue of each year is yearly index.
