The Radio Shack collection, spanning from 1978 to 1992, consists of manuals, books, periodicals, newsletters, and software related to the TRS-80 brand and microcomputers in general. The bulk of the collection is made up of manuals and books about TRS-80 operating systems, programming, applications, and software packages. The manuals, which include both originals and photocopies, were published by Radio Shack and other companies for use with Tandy Corporation-Radio Shack products such as TRS-80 Model I, Model II, Model III, and Model 4, as well as their compatible descendants. There are several periodicals and newsletters in the collection, including Computer News 80, Code Works, Engineering Tools, and most notably, 80 Micro, which was published solely for the TRS-80 Model I microcomputer. In addition to published documentation, there are some clippings and program listings, as well as software on about 50 cassettes and over 1,100 5.25 inch floppy disks.
