The object is a large metal circuit carier with a phenolic board mounted underneath. It has 9 vacuum tube sockets, 3 are populated. Various BNC jacks and a multiconductor connector are mounted on the top. The string "404 COMPARISON REGISTER" printed in red on the top and the bottom.The string "404 IN-OUT DELAY COUNTER SERIAL #21" is engraved into a black/white plastic name plate that appears to have been affixed to the top, covering the printed labeling.
