Description

Part of Bank of America's Financial Application Services system used as a central (San Francisco) message switch for the bank's money transfer network. Object is a cabinet with several different modules installed. The top-most is some kind of multiple connector made by T-Bar. It has an array of DB-25 sockets on the back. On the front, it has an illuminated push button and a toggle switch labeled "Alarm". Below that, is a unit for switching a line printer between systems. It has an illuminated button labeled "PDP-11A" and "PDP-11B". The bottom half appears to contain a large power supply. Many ribbon cables are zip-tied and lying in the middle along with a loose cover plate. A label "CABINET 5" on the top front is dry and peeling.
