Object consists of two mechanical clutches. Each has a toothed plastic gear (for a toothed belt) on a central bearing with a mechanical latch. Clutches of this sort are used in the IBM card-handling machines to cause a shaft to rotate exactly one (or one-half) rotation. The clutches were found together in the linked collator, each in a cardboard box. One is new, never used. The other is clearly well-used. In the box with the used clutch were a group of small parts that were (presumably) removed along with it when it was replaced. The small parts include a large bell-crank, a small bell-crank, an actuating lever, two small offset studs (used for screwdriver-adjusting a clearance) and some screws, washers, and shims.
