The object is a thin plastic sheet with fine copper traces on both sides which is used in a RAND graphics tablet. It has a 12" square central area which is visible when installed in a tablet. The central area is crisscrossed by fine copper traces. Each side of the square has an rectangle adjacent to it which contains additional fine traces and some larger solid contact areas. One edge has the following etched in copper: "RAND CORP, SANTA MONICA, CAL."
