"This summary of Jim’s electrical projects shows that the Electronic Computing Home Operator (ECHO-IV) was not a single-shot event. It was the result of many years of preliminary effort, much of it through encouragement by patient mentors. Each project prepared Jim for reaching the goal of helping to make life easier and more pleasant for others."
