Description

Hans-Juergen Wagner attended the University of Stuttgart in southern Germany and then went to work at Hewlett-Packard at their Böblingen site in the same region. He has spent nearly all of his 30+ year career working in the automatic test equipment (ATE) industry. He began at HP with engineering design responsibilities and over time, working for four different companies on virtually the same site, rose to senior management positions. At the time of the interview, he was Senior VP of the SOC Business Group at Advantest.

In this oral history, Mr. Wagner describes the evolution of ATE architecture and how the evolving needs of the customer drove their engineering and business decisions.
