Texture Analysis Computer (TEXAC) component of the Film Input to Digital Automatic Computer (FIDAC).

The FIDAC is a high-speed flying-spot scanner for on-line input of digitized pictorial data into a computer's memory. Designed in 1965 for chromosome research by Robert Ledley, Professor of Physiology and Biophysics and Professor of Radiology at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
