Description

This silicon ingot was manufactured by Monsanto and, when sliced into wafers, is representative of the raw material used by Intel’s fabs to make integrated circuits. The object is a complete 100 mm (~ 4 inch diameter) silicon ingot together with the original seed crystal attached at the tip. This ingot came from Intel Santa Clara Building 6, mid 1980s.
