Jeff Katz is a member of the steering committee of the Semiconductor Special Interest Group (Semi SIG) of the Computer History Museum. Jeff recorded these notes during an interview with Joel Karp on June 4, 2007 on the topic of the development of MOS Dynamic Random Access Memories (DRAMs). Joel was at Intel from shortly after its founding in mid 1968 through early 1973 where he worked on the development of Intel’s first Silicon-Gate 256 bit MOS RAM (1101), the 1102 and 1103 1K DRAMs, and the 2107 4K DRAM. 4 scanned pages.
