Press release announcing shipping has started for jointly developed SQL Server Network Developer's Kit, including pre-release software, documentation and application programming interface (API) libraries for the Ashton-Tate/Microsoft SQL Server and MS OS/2 LAN Manager, Microsoft's local area networking operating system. The API libraries may be used with Microsoft's C compiler to create applications with MS-DOS, Windows or OS/2 that work with SQL Server over a local area network. The SQL Server Network Developer's Kit is sold directly by Ashton-Tate within the United States and Canada and Microsoft within the United States at an introductory price of $1,995 (through the end of 1988).
