Acta Informatica is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original research papers in computer science. It was first published in 1972. Originally published as two volumes a year, with 4 issues each. In 1984, publishing schedule switched to one volume each year, with 6 issues. In 1988, schedule changed to one volume with 8 issues, and in 1997 it changed to 12 issues per volume.
