Description
Born in Greece, Dimitrios Lignos obtained his engineering degree in the US, and joined the computer storage industry with NCR. At DEC, he developed the Massbus, a device independent bus, then several breakthrough storage products including the DEC RL01/02, the first fully embedded servo disk drive, and the DLT tape system. Later he developed holographic storage technology for InPhase.
