Ward, Jack oral history

Jack Ward is a professional electronic engineer and principal of the Transistor Museum based in Brookline, Massachusetts. Jack grew up in the rural southern United States and graduated with a degree in social anthropology and linguistics from the University of Illinois. He worked at Data General as a software service engineer and 20 years at the Hewlett Packard, Medical Products Group near Boston. After working remotely for Affymetrix, Santa Clara providing FDA compliance support for 10 years he started his own consulting business. In the mid-1990s, Jack’s interest in the history of early semiconductor devices led to establishment of the online Transistor Museum at http://semiconductormuseum.com/Museum_Index.htm. He has been generous in sharing his work with the Computer History Museum.
