A gray cable with a circular connector at one end a rectangular metal connector at the other. The small circular connector has eight pins. Above the connector, there are two arrows pointing in opposite directions. The is a tag near the connector that says, "A: To MODEM PORT ON BACK OF MAC (TELEPHONE ICON)". There are also two tags mid-way down the cable. The first tag reads, "DIRECT DECK CONTROL CABLE FOR SONY SERIAL DECKS (#35 rev 3)" and the second says, "FOR USE WITHOUT V-LAN CONTROL UNITS". At the other end, the larger connector has six pins. The tag next to the larger connector says, "B: TO REMOTE CONNECTOR ON DECK (SONY SBV SERIAL TYPE ONLY)".
