A long black cable with a nine pin connector at one end and a small round eight pin connector. The larger connector has two black plastic screws at the back for connecting it to the machine. There several tags on the cable. The first tag reads, "B: TO REMOVE CONNECTOR ON DECK SONY SBV SERIALTYPE ONLY) AVID P/N 0070-00033-01". The second tag says, "DIRECT DECK CONTROL CABLE FOR SONY SERIAL DECKS AVID 0070-00033-01 CTS 0897 CABLE #35.3 NOT FOR USE WITH VLX OR V-LAN." The final label toward the other end says, "A: TO MODEM PORT (TELEPHONE ICON) ON BACK OF MAC AVID P/N 0070-00033-01".
