Ike Nassi

Dr. Ike Nassi is an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz. Prior that, he was the founder, Chairman, and CTO of TidalScale before it was sold to HPE. Before that, he was an EVP and Chief Scientist at SAP. Dr. Nassi helped start three other companies: Encore Computer (symmetric multiprocessors), InfoGear Technology (internet appliances and services, acquired by Cisco, and Firetide, a pioneer in wireless mesh networks. He has held executive positions at Cisco Systems, was a Senior VP for Software at Apple Computer, and a VP at Visual Technology. He was a Consulting Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation and a manager of Corporate Research.

Ike is a founder and an active Trustee of the Computer History Museum. He is on the Industry Advisory Board of the IEEE Computer Society and has been a Visiting Scholar at Stanford, Berkeley, and a Visiting Researcher at MIT. Ike holds two Certificates for Distinguished Service from the Department of Defense. He is a Senior Life Fellow of IEEE, and a Senior Life Member of ACM.

He graduated with a BS in Mathematics, and a MS and PhD in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
