The object has a heavy sheet metal frame with a pair of pivot pins at one end. Four identical PCB modules are bolted to the outside of the frame. Wires go into the interior of the frame (presumably to the actual memory array). A complex wiring harness connects to screw-down connectors on the PCB modules. More of the harness attaches to connectors at the pivot end of the frame.There is a cardboard plaque which reads "CDC STAR-100 1974-1980".
