The object is a heavy curved metal bracket with flat spaces for the attachment of 24 read-write heads in two rows of 12 each. Only five of the heads are present. Possibly this was the operational configuration as only four of the heads are wired in what appears to be an undamaged cable of four wires, and there is no indication that the other 19 heads were ever present. All of the read-write heads are labeled "HARVARD COMPUTATION LABORATORY."
