The HP 21MX computer series computers are 16 bit with a microprogramed instruction set. There are 178 micro-instructions and a 4K control store space. The processor is fully microprogrammed including all arithmetic functions, input/ourput and operator panel operation. A Writable Control Store (WCS) is optional.Various models have different numbers of I/O slots:
HP 2105A has four I/O channels
HP 2108A has nine I/O channels
NP 2112A has 14 I/O channels
