Description

Object is a slim metal tube. At the top small copper wires enter the tube. At the bottom is a tube 9.5 inches long and 0.375 in diameter, wrapped in a lot of very fine copper wire.

This object is part of a collection of superconducting electronics devices called “cryotrons" that were created and used by Dudley Buck at MIT in the 1950s.
