Description

The Wang Model 500 Programmable Calculator first conceived of in early 1970 was the offshoot of the Wang 700 (developed in 1968). The first Model 500-0 was sold in 1971 and variations on the Model 500 were sold until 1975. The Model 500 was the first unit to use the Intel Memory chip- as well as the first Wang electronic calculator to use semiconductor memory. Also- the first program to use both printer and display.
