Description

The period of 1980-2000 was a time of major technological innovation with technology getting beyond the earlier 2D and 3D wireframe geometry and into full 3D geometry. During this period, productive 3D applications were started to be developed and it was a time of major advances in data processing, storage and product complexity. The increasing use of the PC enabled CAD technology to reach “the masses,” along with its increasing use by major companies such as Boeing. CAD industry standards became prevalent with Autodesk’s standard file format, DWG.
