Trying to Make Computers Human

Mechanical servants. Automated employees. We’ve long imagined machines able to replicate human thought and action.

Computers provide the sophistication needed for human-like behavior. But getting machines to actually think like people has proved stubbornly elusive. It’s unclear how far we feasibly can go, but ongoing attempts to create Artificial Intelligence (AI) have yielded a vast array of beneficial products and services.
